New Years Day Postal Woody Contest

To all world wide it is time to get ready for the new year.
So on that note I will be holding the New Years Day Postal Contest!
The contest will be here on this thread on RC Groups. Please spread the word to all your club friends!

Here are the guide lines that we all should follow!

Have fun!
Unlimited flights to get to the goal of longest thermal flight wins!
In the spirit of the old days the plane needs to be constructed of WOOD!
No molded LE wing parts.
The span can be any size.
Glass fuse OK.
"Sniffers" Don't need one!
Only one flight counts!
Please no slope flights

The winner gets a trophy! It will be small!

Added Note: If there is a tie for the longest flight of the day - the flight made at lowest temperature wins.
The flying site with the lowest temperature of the day deserves a mention as well.

This year we are adding a new class!

Class: A
Wood Sailplane.
Winch or Hand Launch, Tow Line or High Start.

Class: B
Self launch Wood Sailplane.
E-power 30sec MAX one time only motor run.

Does the NES Jade count as a woody? Full wood sheeting over what I suspect is a foam core, glass fuse and built up balsa vertical and horizontal stabilizers? 100" wingspan...

Well after thinking about this for a few days and looking over the past contest rules from others. I will be making a new class this year to accommodate self launching gliders. Check the details above.
