Exactly, I'm going to move the B20-15L/4:1 from my Switchback. I've been flying it on 3s2p 680's, but I'm going to move to a TP pack on the Attitude for more run time. What are you going to set up on yours?

I'm planning a Hacker B2015L or 18L geared with TP 2100 3S and a 1138 prop. I 've been flying that setup on a Shulman Exhila and it's alot of fun. The Attitude should be lighter by about 3-4 oz. It should be quite a performer.

Attitude!

Hi Tres,
Yeah, I got the same note from Todd yesterday, too - shipping the next business day, so I'll get mine next week. wow. Can't wait! I downloaded most of those videos and I think I have them memorized, so, I'm pretty excited, too.
I'm going with my Mega 16/15/3, 3.1:1 gearbox - Phoenix 35, probably 12x6 prop. Not sure what battery yet. TP2100?
I'm with you, though. This things gonna be something else!

Ted, thanks for the info! I was planning on using a 10x4.7, but I'll grab the 11 as well. So the 3s 2100 works OK? I did some checking and supposedly it's only good for 6C (12.6 amps) and my Hacker setup draws a whopping 21 amps on a 10x7. I've been running a 3s2p 1200 and 3s2p 680, both of which can handle the 21 amps. But of course WOT isn't needed much in 3D flying with 175 watts on tap!

CE, that should be a very powerful setup. I think Todd said he was running a 3s 2100 on his beta, and that it was drawing in the neighborhood of 16 amps at WOT. Since you're using the 3t motor, you'll be drawing more than his setup. It sounds like the 2100 was working on Ted's setup though, so it should be fine. I'm thinking the advertised 6c may be conservative.

Tres,

The TP 2100s 3S will handle everything up to 20 amps continuous! I've been using them for a couple of months and they're great! The motor is what you have to watch! I've heard many people have burned up their Hackers with these cells. I 've been propping my 3Ders with either a 1047 or 1143 APC prop. Even so, watch the WOT. I highly recommend the heatsink with these cells.

After running an entire 3S 2100 TP pack trough the Mega 16/15/4 geared 3.3:1 with an APC 12x6 SF we measured the motor temp and it was only 88 degrees. ESC was 85 and the battery was 105. Pretty darn cool since it was 73 degrees outside that day.

The above set-up is just the sweet spot for that motor.

Thanks Ted! The posted "C" ratings on some of these cells is misleading, too conservative in many cases, not conservative enough in others 20a is 10C on those cells, doesn't sound unreasonable considering that's what the E Tecs can handle too.

==The motor is what you have to watch!==

Yup, the Hacker can get pretty darned hot on 3 cells. I've been watching the throttle on it after discovering just how warm it gets.

==we measured the motor temp and it was only 88 degrees==

Impressive! I'll probably end up with that setup. Of course that's the one Mega motor you're out of stock on!

Got my Attitude in the mail TODAY! As per all of Todd's kits, this is top quality wood, hardware, PREBENT LG, and beautiful sheets of plans. Can't wait to get started! Move over, Groove!

No point in starting a building thread. I'll have to wait to finish some other projects.

Yup - already

What you get is a 28.5x4x4 1/4 inch (roughly) box filled with the results of the genius of Todd Long! I feel honored just to be able to assemble it. I an only imagine in my wildest dreams being able to design, prove out, make videos, create a manufacturing process, put into kit form, draw up absolutely stellar, immaculate drawings (and I've done enough drafting to know this is extraordinarily good workmanship)set up a purchasing and shipping procedure and then actually deliver to the regular, everyday e-pilot, this masterpiece of a plane that not only looks terrific but flies perfectly! Todd Long, we salute you!!!!!!!!!!!!!
