That sucks. Was kind of wierd, it seemed to torque roll pretty hard at the one point. You were doing good.

Mike I can't wait to hear about your new 57" when you get it flying. I too am looking at this one for a future replacement of my 47" SHP. I hear good things about it, can't wait to hear what you think of it.

That didn't look like it hit very hard.

I've never crashed mine yet is that damage typical of that kind of hit?

Been there too. It's scary when a plane comes barreling at you! I think the prop hitting the ground did most of the damage... It probably ripped the front of the motorbox.

Will do. For me I think this will be a great size. Over the winter I'll also be doing a 58" Edge.

Yeah, it is a wooden airframe, so you can't get lucky too many times before repairs have to be done. Mine had previous MB damage, so it had some weak points which made it come apart that much easier.

Great good luck with both builds and I am glad to also hear your doing the 58" Edge too.

I just got back from squeezing in 6 battery packs with my Extra. It's a bit windy here today (for me that means it's only about 10mph because we just don't get that much wind around here) but I had a blast anyway! I FINALLY figured out how to really get some zip in my pop tops with this plane. My particular plane seems to really need a lot more left aileron to get into the maneuver. Before it would just sort-of stall out at the top but NOW that sucker whips around there like its ass is on fire!! Woo hoo!!

I also love doing nice slooooow rollers into the wind on this plane.

Cloudy, 47 here, 8mph... Supposed to be 53 with increasing sunshine. Will be dark before the clouds are thin enough for sun... Tomorrow still holds promise though and I am off.

Ah that makes sense. non precision single point landings have a way of reopening old wounds.
