Need help, i need a switch!!
I need a switch/controller for my three stings of lights from HobbyKing.
I ordered the only Rx/Tx controlled on/off switch but it had two positive out leads on it, for what IDK. How can I wire up the three strings of lights to run off the 2s lipo for the plane? Could I just solder the leads all togather and connect them to an extra servo lead and plug them into an empty channel or do I need a switch?? I have a night-fly fly-in on the 25th and need this one going fast so its ready for the event!! |

Follow the wiring diagram to the letter as those switches just interrupt the positive flow for switching.
The ground is pasted through. |

I already tried hooking it up and nothing happoned. I dont have BEC either.
I think I fried that one anyway

Use a brushed ESC.

I was thinking about that but I heard that they reduce the brightness of the LEDs, even at full "throttle".

Those leds strips are hurt your eyes bright at full power with a brushed esc.

On 2s or 3s lipos, or does it matter?
And whats the smallest amp ESC I can get away with? I want everything as light as possible sense my plane came out a full once and a half heavyer than I wanted. |

They need 3s lipo for full brightness.
They are resistored for 12 volts. |

so a 12 amp esc? or can I use a smaller one?

You can use a much smaller one they only draw about an amps worth of current at twelve volts.

HK Switch worked fine with my sets of lights. Once I grasped the wiring diagram it was pretty easy.

the two positivse threw me way off and I fried it trying to make it work.
