Why not just order it from HK international site? I bought a motor some yrs back and got it in about 6 days-- that's about 6400 miles from me..

Your not going to find every thing you want /need locally .

I have ordered item from the international site before.
When it arrives in the UK I've had parcels opened and a tax added and also the postal service ,Parcel force, add on their charge of 13 ( $20 approx ) just for opening my parcel to see what's in it !!!!
As a last resort I could order international but trying to avoid it if possible.

I guess us guys here in the states have it made-- almost nothing we can't get --and responsibly fast.. and HK has two warehouses her east and west .

In general our US Postal system is fast--just ordered a few few Het motors from the west cost and only took 3 days to my door.

at $14 or so for the motor, you won't get charged any import VAT, or a handling fee. you're allowed up to 15 ($21 approx.) goods value before HMRC are interested.

if you still want to buy from UK warehouse, the Dr.Mad inrunners are popular (and powerful) - https://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...dproduct=45740 - 3000kv, ideal for 4S

Thanks for all the replays guys.
I went for the 2855-2800 and 2 of the 2855-2300 all from the HK International warehouse.
Most likely put the 2800 in my 64mm goshawk on 4s and run the 2300 in my panther and cougar on 5s.
Both seem to be proven setups from what I've read here.
Seems I was a bit late to the party with this fan,the thread is quite old.
Was only alerted to the cs10 by the edf vampire YouTube video by Anlucas

That was an option I thought of as I do have a 10 blade Dr mad thrust 3000kv 70mm in my panther already.
I wondered about just swapping out the lander rotor for the cs10 rotor.
Or taking out the motor and using it in the changesun in shroud ?
Early on in the thread it mentioned many times that the plastic shroud is really flimsy. Has this been improved ? I didn't think it felt that bad.
So many options / opinions on here, the reading made my brain hurt.
I'm not after breaking speed records, just want a decent setup but most importantly was after that magic whooooosh sound

well I personally use the L2855-2800kv on 4S in my vampire (CS10 or XRP14b at the moment, can't remember which but I'm sure the motor has been used on both), and it goes and sounds fab. no complaints here about any of the 10/12/14-blade CS or XRP shrouds.

another motor I use in a CS10 or CS12 is the 2226-3000kv - not had a great many runs but it seems to perform OK, not sure how long it'll last as it is a very cheap motor.
UK warehouse $12 - http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=37002

Glad to have helped you decide.
I have relegated that Vampire to slope duty sans EDF but I am buiding an anniversary edition with a 5S setup.

I always consider the lander 10Blade and the CS70 10Blade as one and the same performance wise. The lander is slightly smaller.

The latest V3 CS70 10Blade has a nice strong housing as well.

There so many more motor choices these days. The HK L2855 motors are great but some inrunners are very tempting alternatives.

It is useful to buy the XRP versions, because they have a much better housing. It is the same CS10 rotor.
From X-Flight.com
And the 10 or 14 blade (XRP) are the same end results (loads), so you can use either of those.
