BTW, I got a message from a LHS stating he would be able to supply the Sky Surfer replacements I need (motor set, propeller + spinner, batteries) by the end of this week. Isn't that nice?
Hobbysector was very helpful too, nice people, but it was easier for me to deal with the LHS and I was already commited.

Yes. The trim tabs control the movement of the rudders and throttle. Try them, and you will see small movements of the rudders. Use them to get the rudders correct aligned. The throttle trim tab control when the motor start or stop. Try it too. Maybe if you click the tab downwards the motor will stop when you throttle down.
In rate two the manual says that you have not the same fine adjustment on the throttle curve as in rate one. But I fly in rate two, for larger rudder throws. And have no trouble with spinning propeller.

P.S. The manual is not useless. Look at side 18, for throttle trim.

The manual is not totally useless. It just requires a bit of a lively imagination, and at times comparing with other manuals for similar planes...

On the central area of the display on the Tx there is a set of numbers which relates to the speed, or consumption, or whatever, of the motor (I don't care about what units, if any, they are in, I just look to see how they change).
If the motor is really off, they should read 0.00

It changes the profile of the plane tons though from a nice gentle glider, to a twitchy somewhat aerobatic climbing machine. Still has some glide slope, need a little more strength to hold the wing on, and CF spars in the wings, but can get up in a hurry, and dive for the ground at about 55-60 with ease. It will also do some inverted, rolls nice ect ect.
Fun but not for the new flier for sure

The prop looks flimsy, but it can actually stand a lot of abuse.
