Building the 55" #&@@*$ Ag Wagon

Well, after months of drawing up the 55" #&@@*$ Ag Wagon in my "spare time" construction has finally begun.

The design is set up for an E-flight 450 Outrunner and 5 ch. (flaps). Also, I'll be offering the Short Kit for the Ag Wagon myself, so once she's flown and the "paperwork" completed, the kits will be available right away.

As with past designs, this one will be the tylpical "stick Framed" fuselage and tail section. The wing will be of "egg crate" style construction with simple top hinged ailerons and bottom hinged flaps. The wing struts will plug in to keep wing removal simple.

And with that, lets get started gluing parts together.

Finishing the Basic Wing Frame

With the center section done, the wing was rocked up onto the LH spars, blocked into the proper position and pinned to the board. The rear outer spar section was positioned using a washout jig (that will be kit supplied) and the ribs added. Once everything was in place the ribs were glued to the spars and the LE cut from 1/4 balsa and glued in place.

Then to finish the basic assembly, the wing was rocked up onto the other panel and the process reated.

Next, the flaps and ailerons will be built up and hinged in place.

Pat,

I am often guilty of complaining about the negative direction I see our hobby going with the likes of things like ARF's and the lack of real "model builders." You and your creations, however, are a ray of light for me. Thank you so much for your dedication to the hobby of model building as well as model flying. Keep up the good work.

Pat,
Love the association of #&@@*$ with Cessna. May the lawyers rot forever!
Can you get the rights from Dumas to sell your 310 under the name #&@@*$ 310?

John,

I am with you there, except I have two 450's!!! Both are in flyable foamies, the Eflight P-47, and a GWS Corsair. I am thinking that I will get the 40" Jug once Charlie is able to offer the plans and the kit and will probably pick up this bird as well!!!

So much for cutting back on the # of irons in the fire!!!

It appears to me that this one might just be a big success Yeah, I like the new #&@@*$ Logo too, and since the 120/140 it has caught on and everybody seams to know exactly what it means -- if you know what I mean

Meanwhile, I have parts and plans in hand for the #&@@*$ 310B too, and will be getting started on it just as soon as the Ag Wagon flies. I will be offering the 310 as a Short Kit too, so no long wait for that one either. I'm going to do my best to get the Ag out in time for Santa to drop one down everyone's Chimney, but won't make any promises on the 310.

That's great about ... heck all the #&@@*$. I'd hate to think the lawyers could keep the 310 in purgatory.

$$^@s galore! I like it! This one oughta be a winner.. lots of scale dihedral, plenty of wing area, and it's just different enough from the pawnee that everyone else has! Count me in..
