New Sales

Any date forecasts when Castle will be back selling HV ESC's again? I am looking at a 12S setup next and I don't want to buy any of their products from any other online vendors.

Tower Hobbies is estimating December so CC should have them shortly after that. I think they have a lot of orders to dealers to fill first. Probably the fastest way to get one is to back order it from your favorite dealer.

I hope they are clearly re-named then so you won't get a backstock item then.

Thanks Telrin, that is clear. I won't need mine for a couple of months so my plans are to wait and purchase through CC direct.

The part number will also let you know what you are ordering. The recalled controllers will end in a -00 (IE an ICE 120 HV is P/N 010-0085-00). The ICE 2 HV controllers end in 01, so the ICE 2 HV 120 P/N is 010-0085-01. Hope this helps!

And the labels are clearly different. The ICE 2 HV 120 for example has the "2" and the "120" in red writing. Only a very limited amount of them went out in the first batch with an all gold label.

Are you aware that by buying directly from CC you will be paying about 10-20% more?

Thatís a very good point. Most all retailers sell CC products 15% below retail price. That seams to be the standard discount but sometimes you can find a better deal especially around the holidays.

Now that I know how to identify the new ones right away I don't have to, I just did not want to take any chances with someones old stock on the shelf.

I once bought two new Spektrum receivers after they had the brown out issue. Was told they were the new ones when I ordered them. Turns out they were not. Lucky I caught it by sending in the serial numbers instead of a brown out. They store would not take them back and I had to wait 7 weeks for my replacements. I try and not make the same mistakes a second time. I would have gladly paid 20% more than to loose out a month and a half of an already short flying season to have gotten the new ones.
