Painting done.

I've now painted this model. It gained around 95 grams in weight during the painting process!

I'll fly this one at the upcoming slope festival a Mt. Borah next month.

Thanks Jim. It helps being semi-retired. I've been mostly retired so far this year - work is either on or off. I've been a bit manic getting planes ready for the coming Manilla Fest.

I meant at the Manilla Fest, Jim. Several folks I know and fly with are going to attend, I believe.

Oohh, of course! I can be quite obtuse at times.

Yes, I know Matin, Jim and Dan, but Dan is not coming this year I think.
It's great to have them fly with us as I fly mode 2, it is seldom that I get to see my planes flown by more experienced flyers. From memory, both Jim and Dan have flown my Wompoo. I know Jim has flown my four servo moulded plank. And tuned it up for me very nicely! Thanks Jim and Dan.
Don't worry, they don't get off lightly when they are here!

Great blokes, that is for sure!

3D drawings.

My CAD drawing mentor and friend Brian is keen to do a full 2D and 3D set of drawings for my Wompoo. There were no proper drawing of it during the building as I did not have any CAD drawing skills then. It would be nice to have some for posterity and to submit to the open source inventory of free plans.
Also, he and a city based friend and former collegue of his are keen to explore 3D printing of moulds and have asked me if they could use the Wompoo as a test bed. Of course I agreed and suggest they start with one of the components first.
So, I will get a blemished fuselage and one of the wing plugs to him next time I go to town and he will get started.
There is no telling where this might lead.
Quite exciting actually!
