"5ezp" f-16 falcon

Rained here all day.
So build I did.
This is the dry-fit stage. Pins and tape holding her together.
Still working on the parts.
Note the inverted ventral pan to promote clean air-flow to the prop.
The "5EZP" Falcon is 43" long with a 30" wingspan.
I'm thinking a SMJv2 with a 6x5.5 prop will do the trick.
Control will be ailerons with an anhedral elevator like the Phantom's only shallower.

That would (for me) require an edf. Looks good.

I just wrecked my fms f16 which I can repair but I like to take a break from overhauls for a bit. Don't even ask about that fms phantom I mentioned fixing in your phantom thread. The fms phantom just doesn't want to fly.

Oh and that little rudder/nozzle deal looks like it could be used for t.v.

She's glued together and ready for gizmos.
She is 43" long with a 30" wing-span and weighs 10 oz. w/o gizmos.
Debating whether to power her with a GH Super-Sonic ( thrust-to-wieght ratio = 1.3 )or SMJv2 ( thrust-to-wieght ratio = 1.6 ) .

Well you could always use the smaller motor for this build, and save the other for a larger version. 1.3 to 1 will be fun for this one.

That's a good idea.
I did some searching and found here on RCG a test of the GH SSv2 by Dr. KIWI.
His test show that with a 6x5.5 prop the motor will produce 28 oz. of thrust @ 28.2 A.
So this is now my power set-up.
I have all the gizmos installed.
Now if it would stop raining I'd go fly.

Btw how are you mounting your batteries? Do you cut out the canopy after the build and shove them in there?

Usually, but on the Gripen and Rafale and now the Falcon the motor is so far forward that the battery placement is almost against the motor mount to achieve balance. So the hatch is behind the canopy.

Oh yes another great one. Can't wait for the templates.

BTW I have stalled on the 70% su-35 it just isn't right... to me anyway. I think a 100% build would have been better. Anyway I am working on the L-39 , right now and depending on auw it will be either a 64mm or 70mm edf. Do you recall what the auw was for the l-39 w/ prop?

I should say the L-39 then the Horten 229, till the f16 is released.

What is the definition of the lines on the templates? (Fold, cut, score?)
