first 'big' HK order, EMS to USA.

so ive just ordered my first 'big' order with hk. 140 usd. ive got 85 orders with them, mostly unregistered small sub 100g stuff.
i ordered 2 planes, 3 rx'es 7 servos and a bag of pigtails. chose the 1.5kg express to usa no lipo option. ill update this a things progress.
ive been reading and it seems its the lipos that slow the order down.
the shipping address is in yuma, AZ 85364

2120h 6/29/12 - status changed to 'recieved'
0248h 7/05/12 - status changed to 'shipped' tracking number EA121240463HK
????h 7/06/12 - left hong kong
0234h 7/07/12 - arrived at usps San Franscicso
0400h 7/07/12 - tracking number becomes active
1100h 7/07/12 - got it!

I am in Michigan and usually get my EMS (WITHOUT lipos) in around 5-6 business days. Usually quicker than ordering UPS from U.S. warehouses lol.

wow. takes one day from china to usa via EMS. its just the packing that takes forever.
one day i hope HK will get their act together and pack things faster.

!! All I can say is dont get used to that lol! My normal EMS orders are in 5 days and I clear U.S. customs normally within 30 minutes of it being posted its there lol. Ive also found that when ordering from China no matter how long it takes to pack, they have to wait for there to be enough outgoing "mail" for the shipping courier to come make its pickup.

this is close to normal for my orders. i usualy go with unregistered, and it takes 2-3 weeks, when i go registered, its prettly close to 2 weeks every time. last time i did ems it was 10 days. we shall see. stuck in customs now.

got it the 7th.
got two kits, one is fine, the other has a bent wing, tho given the planes need for lots or right thrust, im not entirely sure its a bad thing. at any rate, every thing came nicly pack, tho one box had a tiny bit of paper torn off the cardboard. thats about it.
