Thanks for your input Earl, the OS 240 twin seems like a real boat anchor, was concerned with the weight. Is anyone having to add nose weight to C/G with a DLE 30 or similar ?

It took quite a bit of nose weight to balance with a Syssa. There is also a pocket to mount the rudder servo in the back of the fuse, if needed.

Thanks Guys ! This is looking like a Good canadate for the Twin 240 ! On glow and CDI

On briefing the Rascal manual off Sigs website, I see c/a hinges are included, is there enough wood in the wing trailing edge to use Robart hinge points?

The control surfaces now come pre-hinged W/Robart hinge points.

I'm just ready to recover my old, old Rascal (without flaps)...I'm adding flaps, and I'll post pics of the TE, if there's enough "meat" for Robart hinges in the old style wings.

The trailing edge is just shy of 1/2" thick (12mm?) Here's a pic of a 3/16" Robart hinge inserted...There's a lot of unsupported pin exposed...Maybe that's why they used sheet hinges in the old one.
