Just finished my GP DC-3. I did not use stock power setup, but upgraded to
twin brushless Mega 16/15/5 with two Jeti 40-3P Controllers, tornado 6 X 4 three
bladed props and a 10 cell Sanyo FAUP 1950 battery pack. Plane is a beauty.
Becareful cutting the cowls(don't ask). Waiting to maiden this fine looking plane.
Great Planes should be pleased with their kit. LNL

You must have done the same thing I did with the cowls. Funny how following the so-called lines will get you into trouble.

Not sure. One flew with E-tec LiPo and the other used 8 cell GWS NiMh pack. I think they are a little on the heavy side.

I just finished building my GP DC-3. Using the stock system including the Towe Hobbies recommended 1900 Mah NIMH. I find it is fairly tail heavy and is going to need some weight forward to balance it. Is that what all (or most) of you are finding to be the case? I have not added any weight to the nose yet, want to wait for others experiences.

TIA

Do you think an AXI Drum motor would fit in the cowling?

Thanks,
