Question
DJI Naza Vs TMF AQ50D Pro flight controllers

Hi everyone!
I've just build my first quadcopter and I'm using a KK blackboard as a flight controller. Sadly I don't find that it's stable enough because it moves in every direction by itself when I try to make it hover....So once in the air, It's hard to control. Because of this I decided to get myself a better flight controller . I found 2 that I think would be great on my quad but I don't know which one to pick...

1) DJI Naza http://www.dji-hobby.com/naza/index_en.html
or
2) TMF AQ50D Pro http://www.flitelab.com/OnlineStore/...ontroller.aspx

So plese guys tell me wich one is better and why. Thanks

Naza all the way if you ask me, unless you're going to do aerobatics.

If you want something that is stable, where you do not have to be programmer to set it up and fly it, then get the Naza. You will pay a little more but you will be flying rather than fiddling with PID's. I have owned MultiWii based controllers. I still have a mega board with Jussi's 9DOF sensor board. It sits in a bag in my spares drawer. I may take it out when I need a challenge and the code matures more. I am just having fun flying with my Naza and my WKM.

Naza. It works great and I like that the FC is enclosed in a case.

Both hover well. Naza has alt hold if you care about that and manual (non auto level) mode.
Aq50 does not.
So if you want only level hover get aq50.
Otherwise Naza, in DJI frame.

Thanks for all your replies!! Your help is very appreciated.
I would definitively go with the Naza but someone mentioned above that I won't be able to do aerobatics. And I really want to try some when I get used to control my quad. Do you guys think I'd be able to make loops with AQ50D?
Thanks.

Are you sure I won't be able to do aerobatics with Naza? If so, it might be a deal breaker...

If you search you will find many videos of the Naza in manual mode doing flips.

You should be able to find an even better example, someone who owns a Naza quad posted a video of him doing flips and loops that were tighter than those in that video. Sure, it CAN do this, but not quite as well as some other boards. Still, it's a damn fine controller!

WiseDuck, you are right. Acrobatics are not the Naza's forte. However, in manual it can do them. But most do not buy for the acrobatics but for the stability and altitude hold.

I want to find the perfect spot between stability and the ability to do aerobatics and I think Naza is perfect in this case. Unlike the kk which in my opinion, isn't stable enough while hovering.

You have made a wise decision. I have had a KK board and there is no comparison with the Naza. 3 Degrees of Freedom vs 7. No contest.
