MSRX servo replacment

hi,

i recently puchased a used msrx. the right side servos would stick and lag. so i removed it and replaced with one from my old mcpx's.

when i was done soldering , put battery in to check, the servo would max out and become very hot. did ths on two different servos. both mcpx servos worked before attatching to msrx board.

its just a blue n red wire, did i miss somthing?

Mcp-x is a c/p heli that uses much bigger battery then MSR-X. The rate freq. might be different. Did you try cleaning old MSR-X servo ? I never tried mixing servos in these. Possible HH might have new ones or help you out. Just because servos fit do not mean they work in another type heli. Some of bigger heli flyers find this out when put $5.00 servos in 450 c/p's.

i just looked a little closer. in the pic you can see at the top of servo, is a little different with the metal piece . i feel stupid now over looking that. but i cant find any info regarding replacment servo number for msrx. minus those sites claiming 6833.. and a new board is $60+

Eureka !

http://helifreak.com/showthread.php?t=398493

apparently the upgraded 2.3g SPM6836 or the servo from SPMSA2030L is the stock servo on msrx?

so confused....... 6836 , SPMSA2030L is listed as upgrades to the mcpx and nano cp. why is it stock for a FBL heli?

the 2.3g servo is said to be an upgrade for the mcpx from the 1.9g.... i was wondering why msrx would need more torque than mcpx..
