It\s spectacular field and why to lose it?

Regarding air tow guys- 2 and 1/2 people doing air tow (it,s really to me) creating just a wave in a glass of water- why not to fly together?

That Doug Aldridge sounds like a guy from Kensigthon field near Burnaby Lake...
Most of those people are cranky and absolutely not friendly...

So who is coming tomorrow to Anderson?
And what time?
Hi Lev,

The DLG flyers are NOT going to Anderson's. We (Ron, Jason, me, not sure about Wayne) are going to Deer Lake. Ron said he will be there around 11am. Hope to see you there.

I got out yesterday for some long range F3J flights - I was testing a new back up link solution for my primary radios - So far it looks to be working. I think ill be at least another month off before I can think about F3K launches...

Hey guys,

Please let me know if I have posted in the right place.

New to Dlg, but my pops has been into rc flying for some years.
Im just wondering were you guys are buying your gliders. Is there a good place in Canada to buy a entry level glider? I have seen the HK gliders and think this would be a great place to start, but I would like to keep my money here in the great white north.

I have a Transmitter and receiver(s) (4 and 8 channel) from frsky that I have been playing around with. Also wondering about replacement parts for repairs.

If someone could learn me some information it would be greatly appreciated.
I want to get into this dlg thing, look really neat!
May help further my relationship with my father.

Thanks

And not "entry level", but you can get a Vortex from a Canadian vendor:

Pipe - where are you in Canada ?

There is a Canadian supplier for the Vortex 2 but its far from entry level - having said that its also super easy to fly. There are 20 other options in used models out there too - most are RTF -

It's hard to find a Canadian MFR for DlG's in fact I dont think its really worth your time to look for "entry level" air frames. You will outgrow it in a season and probably kick yourself when someone shows up with a contest model you could have purchased for a couple hundred more ... if you were 8 years old and on a super tight budget - or had to purchase 12 models for first time DlGers .. entry level baby. But for you and your dad - ill bet you could do well and have fun with a couple used models.

Just get a tough design like the Aerial - The Vibe or the Vortex. I would stay away from hollow molded models as they tend to take damage in a more drastic format. If you are in BC I can hook you up with some MFR's in the Seattle area for a great deal on some local products that are super tough - fun and competitive too !

There is one guy here in Ontario making wings, tails and fuses. He sells them on here through the classifieds:

Mainly he sells tail sets, but he has sold wings and fuses at times.

Hey thanks pmackenzie and webbsolution for the quick response! (great community)

webbsolution I do live in BC. Tell me more about MFR's? What is that abbreviated for? Manufactured?

Used might be a good option at the moment if possible.
