Here's a video of vacuum. I used a DJI F550, Photoship one extension plates, Avroto motors and Graupner 11" props, Naza with GPS. Carry weight was about 8 pds. I did the video as promo for a new vacuum line my company is coming out with October 8th.

Bigger or what!!!

Hi,

I think this may be viable for the next round according to the press release i saw on Monday. They use 6 motors each with a peak thrust of over 100kg. They say it has the same endurance as the e-volo with battery tech alone but also working on small hybrid genset for range extension...

Cheers

Hello,
I would like to enter the "Best Artistically Built and Presented". I did not intend on entering a contest, just wanted to see what people thought of the heli. The vacuum itself has Navigation lights and side led lights. The DJI frame is wrapped in tri-colored LED lights. I will read through contest rules and fullfill the requirements.
Thanks for looking.

Depends on the user. For new users, yes, but for established users that have linked their account to their mobile phone number via SMS, the 15 minute limit is lifted. For these people (like me), there is a 12 hour, 20 GB limit.

I can't wait till my quad supplies come in. Next year, I hope to join the contest myself, if there is a 2013 one.

Tim, was directed to this great thread to find a specific info, and collaterally found some info I can't agree with you or those who decided to give this definition:

IV. Mr. Lifter - Most Weight Efficient, payload weight divide by copter weight, payload includes batteries.

I am sorry to disagree, but this is not the definition of efficiency. You must measure grams per Watt or Watts per kg consumed for lifting something.
What catch my eyes was that ratio, 5:1... because it's theoretically demonstrated that the maximum hover time with best efficiency of a frame is when battery weight equals the rest of frame.

End of rant

The arms can reach out and grab at you and the FC handles the C of G change with no issues. Piloting it, I don't notice any issues. Next is to articulate the head and install a cheap walky-talky with speaker in the mouth. At night, I hover above the street light in the front yard where most can't see it...then drop down as kids walk by. They hear the motors "upset bee sound" and don't really see the black framed Okto. Hehe, very effective!!!
COOL! What's the weight of the ghoul?

Can anyone recommend a few sources that will sell me larger props for both CW & CCW configurations?

I'm building a "heavy lift" quad . . . sort of . . . and . . . thank you.
