the way it was flopping around look like it was losing power... when something else is controlling it RFI, other 2.4... it banks and throttles up or I have seen throttle reduce to 30% and 5% tilt forward... so it eventually just ran in to the ground!! not some arms loosing power, dipping yawing!!

Hmmm, interesting. Perhaps it's time for me to ditch the Floureon batteries that seem to be at the end of their life. Strange that my LiPo monitor didn't go off (wouldn't you be able to hear it in the video?). The lipo buzzer was lost in the crash, but I definitely had it on beforehand.

Thanks!

Every video I root for you to leave the cul-de-sac.

You have to find a field where you can fly. It would be easier to help. 2 axis gimbals are always going to have yaw wag. You have to be really good at flying and or tuning your tx to over come that. But when I flew my 2d, turning down the yaw gains helped

I like the way you started the vid. Gives the viewer just a glimpse of what you are flying

No it was not me..
I'd love it if they delivered a taco to me. I thought the guy was going to tuck a dollar into the G string T string there for a second

All they need is the Flytrex quad to bring a Heineken now

Mmmmm they cut the video short at the end. I wonder if the string got caught up in the props?

I saw the string come up and thought the exact same thing. When I saw it flopping around I just kept thinking. The little bead fishing weights...

No I don't know everything but unlike with naza I have to know how to tune every element of pids to get a perfect tune on my mini quad running naze32 especially.
You asked what yaw oscillation is caused by and it's technically P being too high or I being higher than P. I didn't see yaw oscillation in the video. Just tonnes of vibration.
Gimbal sounds pretty great though. May try one but whether it'll work with a yi is another question. Probably not with default pids

Edit: vibes resulting from PID - not vibes in general (obviously there are oscillations)

This is a 3 axis gimbal converted to 2 axis. I think he should stick the 3rd axis back on

I'm with Dale, it felt flat, that's not a single motor or single ESC failure, that's a faulty battery, or low voltage.
But overall you often have a lot of vibrations on your crafts, what motors/props do you have ?
A Naza flooded by vibrations could also fly like this.

Nice place, I liked the ripples in the wind at 4:55, a green ocean.

I thought the same, I bet this taco delivery did cost a taco + a copter
The last time I had a string in camera view it ended like this :

Quadcopter - Glider tow and crash ! (3 min 30 sec)

APC 1047 and DJI E310 motors. I'm going to downgrade to Lite again. Last time I had problems, that helped.
