How do I channel Elapor?

I just got my parkmaster 3d in and was fixing to brace it with carbon fiber per this website. I know some of the slots are already cut for the fiberglass but how do I create the channel for the 1.5mm rod on the tail? I haven't gotten the 8mm rod yet because Winging Wayne mentioned he puts in 1x3mm flat strip in the wing so I'm considering doing that instead of the 8mm rod (should also be easier to cut). But for future reference, how would you cut the channel for the the 8mm rod too?

you can use a soldering iron, i have a 25watt one that i ground the tip flat so it makes nice carbon channels or you can use the mills available for Dremel, run the mill along a wooden strait edge.

If you are going to use flat c/f you want a line for round you want a channel. A SHARP blade and metal straightedge are the perfect tools to install flat c/f.
