The "Flugschooner" designed by Max Oertz. Oertz was a yacht designer/builder who, before the war, built racing yachts for the Kaiser. He built several flying boats during the war. The tandem biplane schooner was his last and most exotic. It is not quite as bizarre as it looks. I think his idea was to reduce wingspan (s) for better water handling.

This image appears to show a step under the fuselage.
This was first known as the "Felixtowe Knotch" and was featured on the Felixtowe Porte Baby flying boat of 1916.
The Felixtowe knotch is a cavitation innovation that is used to this day on modern flying boats and aviation pontoons.

Armstrong-Whitworth FK10

I had the hobbyking foam model of the FK10. Interesting airplane, but a terrible model. The wings were warped, and it was difficult to keep the 8 ailerons in alignment. I would suggest if you get this one - make sure you bend the wings to provide some washout before stacking them. Mine actually bent slightly downware, which made the plane very unstable.

I believe Tim Hooper built two of these. One at 1/8 scale and the other at a whopping 1/4 scale. Both electric and his own designs.

My choice is the Fokker V 29 monoplane. Looks like a D-VIII wing and a D-VII fuse. Should be easier to balance with a nose somewhat longer. Jack
