Has anyone tried a 7 cell with the PAEP motor? Of course ESC would have to be upgraded

Guys i have this bird again after selling the version 1 a few years ago. The manual still lists the CG at 90mm back but I remember reading where most guys were setting it around 110 or so. Also how much throws are you guys using on the elevator. Thanks

Jarrod,

I followed Mitchie and v8truckin's lead on cg and they are spot on. Anywhere from 110 to 120 mm from the leading edge is the sweet spot when using a 5000, 6 cell . The manual is total BS when it comes to cg.

Alec

Welcome back to P-47 heaven.

I have a question: what is "Zip tie prop mod" for the FMS 4-bladed prop?

Ya manuals cg is BS. I fought it for a good year and couldn't get the plane to fly right so she sat there collecting dust finally changed my cg and she's awesome.

You add 1mm thick zip ties under the props base which screws into the spinner/hub back plate. From what I know is it was only possible on the p51 because of the spine assembly design. Guess why they called it "The V8 Prop mod" yup yours truly.

What throws are you using, nothing in the manual about them
