Octura props??

Hey guys

Im a newbie in Powerboats, and have just bought a 36´ twin cat. hull from http://www.r2hobbies.com/

Has followed the build here on the awsome Mystic 5000 - wouv a nice piece of work.

I got two Helimotors Turnigy 3126 1600 kv. set to 1500-1700 w. I also got two of the T180 esc from Hobbyking. The Esc was tested by turnigy with the very same motors in a cruise surger 73 cm.

Now i need the props octura M642 left and right. But where to buy them here in Europe i really dont know. Only the UK - Propshop im aware of....helpp please.

To the best of my knowledge, Octura doesn'f offer the 642 in a reverse spin (or M). If they did, I'd have one and a left to go with it.

To my (limited) knowledge there is no "m" series in reverse rotation. You's have to make your own.
I know they make these http://www.offshoreelectrics.com/pro...verse+Rotation in two blade and a 450 in a 3 blade reverse.

They make the x442 in L&R rotations I believe, and they should be close to an m642 in load.

I don't beleave you have a whole lot of room . The X 442 is about the best prop for the motors .The next step up is the 447 and that's two much prop .Go to ose web site he has some prop charts that will be usefull to you .

With what voltage in mind is this statement made? I run the same motor in my BJ26 but for now on 4S only and it seems as though, at 4S it could take on a fairly bigger prop.

Just for the record, the HET 1680 kv motors (4068 size) in my Red Bull Cheetah will spin a set of c/r 447's with no problems on 6s. Well, maybe one problem, it doesn't want to turn at full throttle with them when running 6s.

Hey guys

Tanks for the response

I think the t3126is kapable to run a x 447 due to the test with a m642 with much more pitch. Look at the link running a m642 http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._Boat_ESC.html

Im going to setup with front-watercooling.

But the projekt will run through the winter, soo...

A X447 is a lot of prop for that size motor even on 4s , Just sayin if it were me I would be very carefull .Run it for one min. and then check the temps. There is no such prop as a M642 what he's using in the vid is a detonqued X642 . It's much less expensive to start out a little conservitive . Just my two cents .

I have the same motors in 2200kv and I run them with X442's, I wouldn't risk going up to too much more prop. I have aluminum CR 642's from fightercat but I don't think I'm going to put them on anytime soon.

+1
This is why I asked for which voltage was the statement made that an X442 is the best prop. Maybe it was asumed it will be on 6S as 1600kv is not very high

5s or 6s

I know the t 3126 can run 5s and 138 fahrenheit with the m642,
and without frontwatercooling.

If ill try 6s next spring with front-watercooling, depends on heat and how it feels on 5s.
