Here is an idea.
If you fly 35 legs or more without limiter, you win a Neu limiter sponsored by NeuMotors?!
Enter with any setup you have, 2S, 5S, 17S who cares. Any model you have, Tiger, Rifle, Hawk, Enigma, Absolute, Bullet, Bandit. Or even a pylon model like Sunracer, Swist, Excite, Jibe.
P.s. don't forget to bring a spare RX.

F5B Hotliner Championship Rule Change
The club and AMA Contest Director have agreed to change battery restriction for the Hotliner Class. 4S has been dropped from the rules, pilots are able to fly the packs of their choice.
Amended rules folllow:
The standard FAI rules are simplified for the first inaugural F5B Hotliner Championship
- Battery of your choice
- No limiter or logger needed
- No weight restrictions
- F5b style model / hotliner / "run what cha brung and have fun"
- same scoring rules for Distance, Duration and Landing Tasks
- current AMA membership

Biggest race of the season is now just a few days away!
F5B National Title is on the line, plus the US Team Selection and our new class, The Hotliner Championship.
I'll start a thread for post and pics and videos of the weekend, so hopefully some of the fun can be sent out across the net for all to share.

As one can observe, Neu and Keer have separated themselves from the pack, but the 3rd place finisher (and still a member of the team) is still a dog fight . Weather was really nice, better than anticipated. We had no official caused reflights and (3) caused by full-scale interference. My Fiancee Michelle, did a beautiful job at Base B, got us some great gourmet sandwich fixings and Wayne Walker a bang up job timing. We're tired, gonna give it heck again tomorrow!

Looked to me like everyone was flying Futaba FASST radios.
As for legs, I saw a lot of 44's and 45's yesterday, and one 46 (I think). I timed one flight for Kris Duggan where he had a 44, landed at 10:03 for a 30 point spot and had zero motor time during duration. Zero. And that still was not the best flight of the round based on the normalized scoring shown above.
It appeared to me that most of the flights were not using anywhere near their full 1,750watt/minutes available. I'm not sure if that's true for all the competitors, but I know that was the case for at least one of them. This means there are more laps on the course available if they want to speed things up a bit.
The impression I had was they were playing conservative to make sure they didn't run out power during duration. As the marine layer burned off though, the air got really good for duration if you knew enough to fly about 1/2 mile to the west where all the Sea World parking lots are. Thermal activity in that area was good. I'm new to this stuff and I did my 10 minutes over there with only needing 1 second of motor.
I don't think Steve or Lenny need to push things today, as they're pretty much locked. But the fight for 3rd should be interesting. Those 3 guys are going to have to use more of their power to push for an extra lap or 3.

When I go to the field shortly, I will be 26 miles from my online capability.
The only way I was able to email you yesterday was with Eric's help and his Crackberry.
However, I here you in that there are interested parties out there. The guys at the field are all "living" the event, and are not feeling the frustration of "not knowing what's going on". It would help if there was better reporting.
I can tell you that I have video of everyone flying at least once. If I ever get my hands on a copy of Image Mixer 3, which will allow me to offload the video onto my PC, I will upload to Youtube and post it here, provided the competitors don't have any issues with that.
