That was some pretty huge frontside action from what appears to be not that tall of a bluff...

Once she's up to speed there's not much that is going to slow her down

another burner video

I had my first flight with the windburner. Always wanted to know what all that hype about the burner was. Now I know it's an awesome model, just the right kind of model for me. We had about 25-30km/h wind at the time this video was taken. I had 2 models with me the Tomcat and the Burner. I decided to get the maiden out of the way, and the fly the Tomcat.
It never cam to that, I did have the maiden, but after so much fun with that Burner the Tomcat stayed in the car. Had 5 or 6 flights with it and not one bad landing, I am thrilled.
Camera man recorded the first flight. It was a fairly dark day with lots of cloud cover, and filming wasn't easy. At times the camera lost focus, and I had to do a lot of cutting. But whats left is not too bad.
Thanks Kevin that plane rocks.
Knut

Nice flying Knut. You certainly got it moving along nicely in not a lot of wind.
Do you know which version it is?

Nice flying.

What are the differences in the mk 12 &3.

I think mine is a 2.

The one I am doing a rebuild on is a 2. It was the yellow Manilla one with black nose.

The way I understand it
Mk 1= 40"
Mk 2= 48"with a flat fin
Mk 3= 48" with a foiled fin and CNC wing

I think the prototype was 40" .
The Mk 1 is 48" and has Laminex skinned wing. With squarish tips. (There's a photo on RCSpeeds.)
Mk 2 has more rounded tips, composite wing skins and I think the CNC'd airfoil.
Mk 3 has the larger foiled fin.

I have a Mk1. (I think of mine as Mk1 rev1.5 in honour of the rebuilds/repairs )

They all rock.
