I look forward to having a closer look in Friday! Where do you find the time?! I don't think this bike is much of an SB5 anymore lol. Great job!

Hey Kev, c'mon over. Its a beautiful 26 degrees today. Sun out, clear skies. It'll be much the same for Friday night races. You could make it by then?

Removing Tyres

Before I attempt this and destroy once used tyres. I have a set of 100's on the ZH aluminim rims do you think its possible to remove these so they can be reused? I used the thin strong CA glue. I want to put 200's on. I am currently using 200 treaded tyres (on plastic rims) and have had no traction issues at England Park on a Friday night, at all. Want to try the slicks on the ZH rims. they are nice and shiny orange

Rob if your going to use the front brake you will need the plastic rims
As the brake I have is to fit the TT rims with the posts/pins for the disc
We can fit the brake two ways as I have two ZH forks on mine so you can
Either swap one fork leg with me or I also have the plastic brake adaptor to go on the fork
Don't just reef the tire off the rim the tire will rip
Maybe you could try CA debonder as long as it doesn't impregnate the rubber it should be ok but maybe check with Shaun or Adrine first
Cheers

Rob, to get my tyres off, I just use those big old blue set of pliers I've got and pinch the tyre wall, then peel the tyre back on itself leavering it off the rim. If you do it quickly it cracks the glue and comes off easily. It might look like your killing the tyre but it'll come good and return to its original shape. Works every time for me.
If you've replaced the tyres a few to many times though, they'll start to rip in places.. With the plastic rims, sometimes you get parts that wont come unstuck so just help it along with a hobby blade to get the glue to let go.

Hope that all made sence..?!

Hmm. I appears I did a really good job and they are glued on there pretty well! I'll just have to leave the flash orange wheels and the 100's for whenver we get to race during the day this summer.

In the meatime I have purchased the aluminium wheel hubs off Jeff at Trackside. Price was good! They forgot to send him wheel rims so if anyone maybe has a set I can use and replace when they come in? I am keen to try out the 200 slicks.

Hi Bruce. I have the spokes they are the alu. ones with the built in hubs. these ones:

So yes I need rims. Would love the orange ones! I'll have to get some from 2wheel but they are on holidays until Nov 11. At the moment TT can only supply jeff with white ones.

I also asked Jeff to find out if they have the digital micro servo available for the front brake.
