The Jeti HiCopter is a switch mode BEC unit that can accept 14-42V (4S -10S Lipo) input voltage and supplies a steady 12V out up to a constant 3A with 12A peaks. This can be really useful if you are battling weight and don't want to add an extra 3S Lipo on your craft to power your video transmitter and camera. It only weighs 29g and the only downside would be that it is drawing off of your main battery pack and your run times could be affected. The weight savings would likely make up for that and the small size of this BEC unit makes for a clean nice looking setup and there is something nice about only having to plug in one battery to get everything working. Thanks for the post and info but $55 ( ex ship ) is a bit much in all fairness.
A quick example from the adverts above is ..
And it cost less even though you get more, metal cases, and leads. I know its a different product but there is no special components in either.

What everyone needs to know first is what is the RF signal emitted from this device? If it emits anything on 433MHz or close to it, it could be a no-go for many FPV pilots.
