Thanks for the link.
It worked. I took it up today. No problems. It needs some fine tuning, but a great plane.

Finally had a chance to maiden the Laser yesterday... 7 Flights total.

What a wonderful airplane! After first owning the 48" Edge EXP the transition to the Laser was a no-brainer. Personally I love both airplanes, but at this point the Laser is beyond a doubt my new favorite. The Laser feels to me like a highly refined version of the Edge. I can't say enough good things about both the build and flying qualities of the Laser. I am excited to get more flights on the Laser to see what it can really do!

I also love the color scheme. What a nice tribute to the late Leo Loudenslager and his Laser. Well done Extreme Flight!

Here are a few "highlights" from flight #4. Nothing special, just feeling things out.

Well the laser is going into the hangar until I can get a new motor. Sucks as its my favorite airframe and I'm getting pretty decent with it. Still need to work on the 3/4 at the end of my slow roll

Thanks guys, the laser is my favorite one rite now. Manta the laser is just so stable its not even funny. Most people recommend the edge for learning 3d but after spending the summer with the laser its the one I'm going to recommend from here on out. It doesn't quite draw as clean as line as the extra and it doesn't enter harrier quite as easily as the edge but the thing just locks in for all things 3d.

oh and the motor, it was a turnigy Sk3 buy crap get crap. Its got way less flights than my motrofly's and torgqu and way less prop strikes. I still tubmle the heck out of it and it threw the bearings.

Cant you put some new bearings in the SK3 to keep the plane flying? The rear one is 10mm od x 5mm id x 4mm wide and the front ones (two off) are 8mm od x 5mm id x 2.5mm wide. I'd not condemn the motor as crap just because it needs a bearing, for 3D flying bearings are very much consumables and sometimes you just seem to get a bad bearing that doesn't last long. The tiny 8mm od bearings in particular are quite fragile.

These are a common size for motors with a 5mm shaft, in fact the Motrolfly DM2820 uses the same size, but it has two at the back and three at the front. Even so I've had to put new bearings in the Motrolfly twice.

I've still got my original Torque 2814 from six years ago. It was in every one of my Velox and Velox VR1 models, several Extra SRs and it's been flying my red Extra EXP for two years. It's probably got 1000 flights on it, and none of them have been easy.

Yeah I probably could put new bearings in it but I half expect it to snap the shaft when ever I do blenders.

I will probably fix it, maybe put it in a night flyer.

come on. you HAVE to know who this is. Come on. Tell us.

Any meaning behind the sound track? I still think it's somewhere south of the US. Central America.
