Yes. It was also marketed under some other brand
names as well. What did you want to know?

At the risk of being accused of possessing 1 or more of those 7 deadly
sins... (e.g. greed, gluttony and possibly sloth); I would like to know
anything you know about the kit... for example (but not limited to): What
other brand names?, Is it a good kit?, Does it fly well?, What motor would
be best for it?, What should someone pay for a good Kraft Cardinal kit (if,
in fact, it is a good kit)? TIA

Sorry, that is so very long ago, I can't remember the
other brands it was marketed under.

<<Is it a good kit?>>
It really wasn't a kit. Today we'd call it an ARF.
The airframe was injected molded foam and relatively
heavy compared to a built up model of the same size.

<<Does it fly well?>>
With the stock motor and recommend 6-cell pack it was
not too much fun to fly. Using a 7-cell pack made it
a bit better. I honestly can't remember whether it
had any type of speed control or used an on/off
switch.

<<What motor would be best for it?>>
Any of the geared inrunner or outrunner motors that
can swing a 9x6E prop at about 8,000 RPM would be
good.

<<What should someone pay for a good Kraft Cardinal
kit (if, in fact, it is a good kit)?>>
Personally, I wouldn't purchase one, but if someone
gave me one for free, and I had the money for the
power system and decent radio components for it, it
might be fun to set up as curiosity.

Sincerely,
Ken

I had one of those things around 1980-81, IIRC. It was a real slug in the
air with the supplied power system. Mine would barely hold altitude in
straight and level flight under full power, and full power lasted maybe 45
seconds. It was an awful plane in that regard. The foam plane itself was
pretty good for what it was, and would probably fly reasonably well with
modern electric motors. IIRC it was a three channel setup.
