They should be cut. Sorry to say that - I love watching them. But they should get private funds or event funds to get them there. The deep corporate pockets should fund such things not me.

You make a valid point. I just lament the taking of things that are good and continuing to fund things that in my opinion are bad for our society. I cannot disagree that it is not the role of government to fund recreational events, but I am quite a fan of the national park service.

I think that would give those corporations an excuse to leave the USA!
As a citizen of the USA, I don't mind my $$ going to support our military, and that includes the demo teams!
I believe them to be a great recruiting tool as well as a way to renew patriotic pride!
Seeing the Thunderbirds and Blue Angels as a kid prompted me to join the Navy even during anti-military late 60's early 70's!

Moving a US based company totally overseas is beyond complex. I have no issue funding a strong military - this is not that. I am not saying I want the show teams to go away but there is no reason these HUGE events they fly at can't privately or with the help of corporate sponsors fund the show teams.

Heck they could even turn it a bit Nascar and put some stickers on the hood. LOL!

Go Left & Turn Fast!!!
That kinda sponsorship I agree with!!!
I was hoping the RedBull airraces would have sparked some of that.
(I even started searching for fabric to make the pylons with so I could place one in my yard!)
I got it!

Then Dupont will get involved and we'll get all kinds of silly rumours about the pilot.
