I am not a fan of Poker but I think it is a good task, it separates the wheat from the chaff.

Yes, but I get bored flying 9:59's, my neck hurts, and the timer always falls asleep. Hey Alan, wake up!

Why not - just not first thing in the morning, and only if you can't drop them. Poker's become a low-risk round. Go for broke, and drop it later if things don't work out. It should be at least as risky as the real thing.

Ummm, not quite true. It has always been the same drop value. It is how people are treating it that appears to make it like you describe. But, it is what it is and it can be a big boon to your score card or a big bust. Personally I just don't like to work that hard if I don't have too.

Poker's just fine, like all the other tasks. Maybe Dave and Philip will keep the task list secret until the pilot meeting to heighten the suspense. Maybe we'll even see 5 consecutive rounds of Poker to start the day!

Lee said he'll time for me, and we'll make that (one of) the Poker round(s). He calls the time and makes sure I hit the target. Every miss is a beer afterwards.

Cheers, Charles

I have to mildly disagree with the cat and mouse game regarding the task list. I prefer to know ahead of time what to expect. Maybe it's just me.

Charlie,

you're probably speaking for most people. I'm just goofing around, and am happy enough to see this contest take place, after much hard work by yourself and others. Poker, whatever, it'll be a good time for all.

Over and out.

+1

The hard work of all who are making this happen is greatly appreciated.

I also greatly appreciate those that come from out of state to fly with us. I really enjoy getting to hang out with and talk to flying buddies from all over, but I can't travel as much as some others can. It's nice that you all come to play in the dirt with us.
