Haha, I'm actually in the process of making one just like this. Very nice. What's your frames weight (nothing installed), and is there an access point other than the front?

• Ideally access for 4S battery (s) depending on weight (I presume they go in via the rear hatch?)
• Fully loaded +8min flight times
• Bara / Naza compatibility
• Naza GPS compatibility
• Internal gimbal of some sort (or space for one)
• and / or bracket for FPV cam in the 'bubble'
• "'internal floor' for electrics" - would be great if this can slide in/out via the 'bubble' hatch - eg so you fit everything to the 'internal floor' outside of the frame, then slide it inside once complete...

This thing looks awesome, cant wait to see it develop! Subscribed....

4s 3600 fits fine ( also can slide up to 5 inches forward of the rear cap to achieve C of G required my guess it will be around 10 to 15 mm forward of balance point as this aids fast forward flight)

Flight time to be checked when prototype complete should be around 8+ mins as the weight is less than our TBS Discoveries

Baro should be OK with a breather patch again testing needed.

The Naza gps fits inside the raised section of the housing.

We plan to mount the FPV camera on a tilt gimbal inside the housing , the Scarab is really designed for carrying the hero 3 underneath its waterproof case , it will be fixed for a start but we plan to use a tilt/ roll gimbal later.

yes the removable floor is exactly what we have in mind so the electronics can be slid out for access.

Here are some more pics

It alive ! flies well 10 mins 30 on a 3600mah 4s with no go pro in the housing but ballast the same weight as the FPV equipment so should be good for 8-9 mins .
Water testing after a bit of siliconing of wires etc.
The esc's were running at 44-45 degrees with no dome on so we decided to fit them with heat sinks fitted through holes in the housing now running 38 degrees after 10.5 mins with dome fitted not too bad as ambient here was 32 today !

It looks the nuts!

Would like to see a pic/video from FPV cam in the dome when its ready so we can see what the glare is like and also what (if any) vibrations it picks up.

Gopro under is fine. I'm still waiting for someone to come up with a waterproof gimbal

Look forward to more testing results and some videos!

it would be ideal if the Naza light could be seen from the ground (though not essential)

It could actually be placed in view of the fpv cam if it has tilt capabilities (probably doesn't need pan)?

ALSO what is the MAX dimensions possible for battery? We run 4S 4000mAh on our TBS's, with FPV and carrying a GoPro you are looking at about 10mins)

This looks pretty cool. I would like to have a wire rope isolator between the frame and the GoPro to take out the last bit of vibrations. I put one on my aquacopter and it works great.

I'm sure your product is fine but don't you know there already is a line of multirotors called Scarab?

No I didn't know that , thanks for telling me ! We will have to go back to the nickname it acquired during construction " The dead pig' Lol
