Quissett Harbor, Cape Cod

Came across this nice little workboat in Quissett Harbor today. Quisset Harbor Marine uses iyt in the harbor for setting and inspecting pleasure boat moorings.

I hope everyone is enjoying this 4th of July.

You're killing me. Grew up 30 years on the Hudson, got my first boat at age 6, then 30 years on the shore in CT, many trips to Nantucket and the Caribbean, now in middle TN and can't even find a decent pond for my models. Had a few service calls at Woods Hole labs in the 60's and 70's. Don't ever leave the salt water. It literally is in your blood.

My path was just the opposite. Grew up in the mid-west. Ran my first boat at 7, a flat-bottomed row boat. Went on to run boats on the St.Clair river. Moved to New England in 1969; been here ever since. Had a one-time opportunity here on the Cape to run a 61' Buddy Davis. Quite the experience.
As for leaving saltwater...ain't never going to happen. Both sons have saltwater in their veins and also live here with their families.

My first boat was also a flat bottom wooden rowboat probably homemade that drifted up on our beach. Probably had more fun with that than any of my many later boats.
