Phase 3 Mini Spitfire review

I couldnt pass this one up for $49. I have to say I was very surprised in how well it flew. The one thing I did was to move all the servo's to have the max throws since they seemed a bit to small to make any extreme moves. For a beginner its best to leave it until for fly it a few times. For the flight I decided to hand launch into a wind about 7-10mph. The plane had plenty of power to climb into the wind. I was able to do a few loops and rolls. I forgot to set my timer but for the stock battery it must have been at least 10 min. I did break off the landing gear and strut landing in the grass. I should have used the lot. I ended up removing the gear for the second flight which made it look much more scale. Next time Ill bring out my radar gun but the speed must have been around 30+. Overall a great deal for the price and I hope to try a 2 cell and see if it will hold up. At $20 for a single cell thats a bit high.

I got another flight in tonight with pretty much no wind. I had the plane at 3/4-full throttle for approx 6 min. So with management 10 min should be no problem. Id like to change out the wing servo since it moves so slow direction change can be tricky if your too low. My only regret is not purchasing two of them since now they went up to $79.

I did a search for 1300 mah 1s and couldnt find anything.

You could get a 2600mah 2s pack and split it to get 2 1300mah single cells! Just a thought.

That sounds like a good idea. Im pissed I was flying today and when I landed it I didnt look behind me and it skidded into a goal post. It took a good hit but it still flew. I cracked the wing and body. A little ca and it will be good to go. Im pissed since its such a cool little plane. They dont sell spare parts either.

If you do this you'll have 2 - 2600mAh single cells

Think about it

Of course... I wasn't thinking

I'll try again.

If you get a 1300mah 2s or 3s pack then just split the pack to get 1s 1300mah individual cells!

The small EDFs out there (ARF and RTF) come with a 1300 3S pack. I have split 2 packs and now have 6 extra batteries. Finally a use for the 1300 packs.
