Thanks for trying rupert... where are all of you other Mossie builders?
We need some more photos of your progress and some up dates on how your builds are going.

Hi Bruce!
I've been working on the canopy that I just got from Traplet. I'm now waiting for the paints to finish it off. The old one on the plane was inadvertently clear-coated.
Once I got that one finished and the one for my Bearcat, I'll be working on the problem I had with the flaps. I'm going to try Peter's suggestion as it is the easiest to do w/o cutting up too much of the wing. I might even move the servo to where you put yours to see if that works. Otherwise, I'm just looking around for another project, besides the P-38, I'm liking the DHC-3 Beaver (a warbird version) and collecting info on it.
Once I got the flaps and landing gear doors done, I'll post some pics for all to see.

Very nice photos graham thanks for posting them, yep it's that time of the year here in the
northern hemisphere when the leafs get to changing and the frost is on the pumpkin and
everybody gets to building. So let's see some progress photos and post guys!

eah, its supposed to be our first freeze tonight. I went out a pruned the roses to prep for winter. I freakin hate our oak tree. Crazy amounts of acorns this year. I think its telling me its going to be a long build season.

That means there's no reason you shouldn't get that Hell diver finished this winter then
It doesn't matter to me I'll build all year long

Best of luck with it willsonman,

Yeah, I spent the day doing house work. Needed to get done. I have blisters from raking all those acorns though. I live in the city so a street sweeper comes by once a week. He will get them. Next up: clean windows, leaves, gutters. Then I can build. Its never ends.

YES it looks like were going to have our first frost here as well I love windy days then all of my leaves blow into every body else yard, this is the best time of the year no more hot sweaty days
and you can open all of the windows.

Rain rain rain.... The forecast here is for rain for the next 2 weeks! One day summer will arrive.....!

Great work guys! Starting to collect bits for my Mozzie project next year. The flap system is great info. Gotta make it scale on my bird now.

Cheers
Brett

Good luck w/ the weather Toast and your build when you start it.
Well I did some more today this is a slow process but it coming together now
I got the first scale hinge using the Robart hing points and got the Actuator a
bit farther along.
I need to do the other hing on the out board FLAP then check the motion of the FLAP
there are two wheel collars on the actuator just temp. to hold the parts together.
I also have the push rod w/ clearance, now I need to figure out the correct position
for the 1/8" music wire so I can start some soldering then it's the position of the triangles so I can solder them also, they will get glued to the ribs w/ Hysol epoxy if I can find some around here. check out the progress

Looking good Bruce! You are well on your way with the flaps.

Here is a video that I just found on YouTube, that someone posted of one of my competition flights at Top Gun 2012 (my 124" Mosquito). Landings like that are typical with this airplane. Those huge flaps help a lot!
