Piper Cub done in WWII German colors

This is a Goldberg Cub I found partially complete on CRAIGSLIST that I picked up for $50. I fixed the mistakes and finished it. I dislike having a model that looks like someone elses, so I took a little "artistic license" and did it in WWII German colors, as I am sure MOST of you are aware, the Germans rebuilt P-51's and P-40's that had been shot down on their side. The US used Cubs as L-4's for recon and artillery spotting and what not, so I am "pretending" this one was shot down and rebuilt/repainted as you see here. I welcome any and all comments or questions!

You shouldn't be having an enigma while flying'; too distracting!

I like it!! If I ever build a Cub, it will be Cub Yellow with a black lightning stripe, as it's my understanding you could get them in any color you wanted, as long as it was Cub Yellow with a black lightning stripe!

I think they were certified for skeletons to fly from the front seat, also.

No need to pretend. The Luftwaffe DID have several J-2 and J-3 cubs pressed into service. There was a factory in Denmark that built cubs.

You sir, are simply amazing. I don't believe anyone into Luftwaffe aircraft was aware of this. This is an unknown fact deleted from military aviation history.

I painted up a Kyosho 71" Cub in luftwaffe colors...sorta pre-Battle of Britian era scheme having a light grey-sih white main color and then using the red band on the rudder with a white circle with the swastika inside that. Looks pretty good I think.

Thinking about doing a H9 80" Cub in similar fashion as the Kyosho is super light and doesnt like any wind at all.
