I have built 3 Skybirds, 6 Big Birds, & 2- 2m Lil Birds.

And here is My second Oculus Fuse # 22 it is almost done just need to finish the controls put the rest of the gear on the inside and it will be in the air real soon, The thing that makes this Oculus different from My first one is that this one is woody legal yes the leading edge and trailing edge are wood so this is the first Woody Oculus.

Frank Zaic "Thermic 50" Free Flight. Built by a friend in 1947, now past away. Dope and Tissue. The Tissue has given way over the years but not a single crack or break in any of the fuse or wing. Remarkable after all these years.

That is a good looking sailplane. Really nice. I am sure it flies good also.

Bashed, stretched and tweaked BOT 17ft 4in.
Not a fast flyer, keep under 25mph or the wings start twisting and not in a good way.
Flys at 5-7mph on the slow end and 18-24mph normally.
~480 watts on the beak.

A guy in our club built a Super Sinbad, converted to RC. Definitely a floater, though a bit finicky to fly. Beatiful. I don't have any pictures of it, though. Other people's pics:

This is my best floater. It is not a pure bred: the 72 in. wings are from a Piece o' Cake, the body and the slightly modified tail feathers from a HOB 2x4. Once you let it go it doesn't want to go down...

I believe that the wing on the Oly was designed after a Frank Zaic wing. The American Eagle was... Yes, I will agree they do look much alike.
