Hey guys,

Asking a question for a friend who flys a modeltech magic 3d with

Mega 20/22/2
4s4p TP 6100

He is in need of a faster rudder servo, digital or normal for better control in a hover.

I dont fly anything this big so I am not much help

Any Suggestions

I was maybe thinking of the Hitec digital micro or mino servos

The Hitec 225's are fine and a little smaller, standard Futaba servos are fast enough to control Magics in a hover with enough precision to hover rock steady. Sounds like he needs faster thumbs.

A Hitec HS85MG worked fine for me...on four cells even. Try a five cell reciever pack if you need faster response.

Mine has HS-225's in the tail and 85's in the wing.

I would use a Futaba 3102. It's small, high torque and accurate. They've also been repriced from $60 to $30 at TowerHobbies. I've used the HS85 and 225. They are both very fast but a bit sloppy towards the center. Also, if you test about 4 225s, you'll find at least one that delays as it moves to center. It causes noticeable problems when you try to level out your plane.
