I've wondered too, but not every modeler is also an entomologist I think ;-)
So FlyduBee is nice, what's about Flydubeetle or Flydubug?

Will do, have some leds and resistors here, will use them as a front light directly driven by the lipo and a red backlight from cpu pin (absolute max. 40mA), may for the batt warning or stable led, will see.

A guide is already in prepare but I haven't found the time to write it yet. By now there are only some photos that I've made while building my 6-legged spider.

In my opinion you should keep the name "flyduspider" from the ground it looks like a spider. the every day normal guy doenst know about such details, so who cares anyway.
It's a cool name for a cool frame. it's rhyme time ;-)

What about Flydu-Ant? I mean, a hexacopter is meant to carry a load. Ants are good at this. And they have 6 legs.

Problem solved. :-D

BTW, do you plan on enabling pin 46 for cam trigger ? (now only 33).
Not that I need it, but as it is availble on Flyduino, why not

Thanks again !
Hoi wilco

Je hebt gelijk en daarom een verzoek aan Alex om dit toe te voegen aan de code:
You are right, thats why a request @ Alex to add or change the code in:

#define DIGITAL_CAM_PINMODE pinMode(46,OUTPUT); // 46
#define DIGITAL_CAM_HIGH PORTL |= 1<<3;
#define DIGITAL_CAM_LOW PORTL &= ~(1<<3);

Flyduino QuadX build

After many weeks I have finally completed my quad build. I currently have MultiWii 1.7 loaded in Flyduino v2.0 board. The only problem is that the motors will not spin. I have checked that the motors and ESC are functional by connecting each to the receiver Throttle port. I then connected the quad to the computer using a USB cable and FTDI, launched MultiWiiConf 1.7 and was able to see that all transmitter functions were working correctly. I measured the PWM pin for each motor port (2,3,5, and 6) and it measured 2.5V with a DMM. I am not sure what should be checked next. Can anyone provide any ideas.

Kind Regards,
Steven Warren

Flyduino v2.0, Flybution, Flydusense with BMA020 and WM+, Castle Thunderbird ESC, Eflite Park 370, Spektrum DX8 and AR8000
