Question
PZ T-28 As A Slope Plane?

Hello everyone,
Was wondering if I could take my PZ T-28 and make it a slope plane?
Thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

With its thick airfoil, it's going to be a slow floater, but if you just wanna try it, I don't see why not. Take the landing gears off, maybe put some bi-directional fiber tape on the bottom, chuck it and see what happens. You may have to load it up to make it penetrate. If it doesn't work, you can always convert it back to electrics.

It will fly better with the motor than without it.

No!
I mean, sure, you "could" chuck it off a slope. But then again you could chuck your car keys off a slope too. Both would be about as productive as the other. Leave it as it should be and buy a real slope plane. If you ain't got much cash get a speedo and save the T-28.

Thanks guy's for the input!!! I'm on a very limited budget and want to get into slope soaring and was just thinking maybe it would work.
With that being said which plane do you think would be better a Wheasel or a Spedo or maybe even a slope monkey? If I can pull it off I'm going to get two of the three. I guess the big question is which one or two?

Scott.

Get the Weasle and the Slope Monkey if you're new to sloping. The Speedo is great, but a bit more fragile. I think Aloft Hobbies carries all of those.

That's where I was looking @ them. Not to worried about smashing them as I can fly, sometimes it's not pretty but I can fly. LOL!!!!

So do I and I agree with that.

I converted to slope too. I could fly before.
slope is not the same. There are many factors that you will discover make it very different. Get A weasel. it is an incredibly fun and aerobatic flier. My speedo sits broken and i don't care. The weasel goes everyday and gets lots of flight time.
