HobbyPartz has the gens ace for under 30 dollars and it fits, charges, and works perfect. I do charge mine on my charger every other charge as it does have a balance plug. The charge plug is the same as your DX8.

I have one in my DX8 I bought from ValueHobby. It's a 2700mah that's made for the DX8 and DX7s, and it's only $13.99 plus $3.99 shipping. It's worked great in mine.

Do either of those have the built in circuitry like the Spektrum and HobbyKing lipo??
