I bought 81"wingspan extra weights in about 6.5lbs without motor looking at 52cc turnegy is that to much or enough for 3d

well you can hang anything off it you want!

some more info would be nice, 260/300/300s/300L/330, should I keep going!

it is right inbetween a 30 and 50 size aircraft! now with that said, my 78" H9 EXTRA 260 has a RCG 50/55 hanging off the nose! and will go strait up outta site!

but the wing loading isn't what I would call 3D, when I slow here down and get inta high alfa, she has a terrible wing rock! a good 3D aircraft, has the proper mix of thrust and wingloading!

well, looks like an older frame,"all" modern airframes,30cc and larger have airfoiled tail surfaces!
not shure how this one will 3D, with that said, you can have a 30cc floater, or a 50cc rocket, that will hang on the prop!
maybe someone who was there in the begining of 3D, could chime in and help ya out there!

I can get 50cc turnegy motor for $130 maybe ill just fly this one get used to flying gas then buy my new one

I also have a gas plane That I do some 3D stuff with.
I kind of went at it backwards. I got a gasser 1st, then a balsa electric and then a flat foamie last.
The flat foamie is by far the best 3D trainer and has kept my 30 cc MX in one piece.
The very best flat foamie out there is the crack yak.
You can really hover her down low and take a heck of a hit and still keep on flying.

The Turnigy motors were not getting any good feedback when they came up in conversation at our club last week (can't remember why exactly).
Perhaps just get a good old DLE50/55, not too many folk out there have a nasty word to say bout those motors quality/power. The 55 is $360 at Tower.
For me, it does not matter how cheap a motor is, as if it costs you a plane it was not worth it! (saving up for key "quality" items can work out a LOT cheaper in the long run)

I totally agree kiwi I didn't end up buying the turnegy so I will keep looking I have a 43cc MAHLE motor might be installing it as I already have it.

What kind of motor is that? Do you have any pictures of it?

It should be a great engine for that plane.

What size gas tank would you use on 43cc gasser this size local hobby shop has 16oz 4titude but I was thinking I need more?
