Hi well i been goofing around with my dx6i at about 1km before the signal starts getting isues and i want a radio for FPV but i saw a really good offer because i saw a guy who is selling a JR 10X with FM module, a 10ch FM Reciever the R955S ,a spektrum 9ch module no Rx and a Frsky module and RX for about 300 (because its in pesos here in mexico) and also there is a Futaba 9CAP but its only the Tx with 72Mhz Module for about 200 the 10X looks more complete but i dont know wich radio is better for FPV and wich are your experiences with those radios, i know the 10x is a bit old but i know it was a good radio but i dont know if the 9 CAP is better o what you would do? because for the $100 of price diference i will not get all the extras that come with 10X

Frsky is today the de facto standard for medium FPV, so you will buy it anyway.
Do your math starting from this assumption.

i dont know because frsky is 2.4ghz and the 2.4has never got a good range but for the price of the frsky you could get the open LRS from OrangeRx and ive never gor problem with spektrum orange recievers

I've owned both radios and feel both are great radios. I think the build quality and materials used on the 10x is better, and the software may be a bit more robust. However, I love the 9cap and is the only radio I use today. It is a lot easier to program than the 10x and they both feel about the same in my hands. I would recommend either radio, but if you have to choose I would just go with the cheaper one. Although if price were about the same I'd buy the 10x.

You must read more about Frsky, it is not just 2.4GHz.
I own both, was contributor to both projects since the beginning, and I can tell you for sure you go farther with Frsky than with OpenLRS as they come standard without any mod/hack.
My OpenLRS gathers dust today.
