just a little info, 2mm depron has the same weight as 3mm. the 2mm has more skin to it because of the process used to make it. it was discussed in depth in the indoor and micro models board.
maybe i should go for a record breaker of under 5 grams ive got all the gear to do it

mini mini

Hi
here a few details to my mini mini twirl,23 grms weight 14 size of the halfsize twirl. (just printed out the 1/2 size twirl 2 pages to the one page) has the plantco scout setup and this gives it just enough power to fly around the hall at about a meter height. Turns nice and flat looks great. Will experiment with a bit more power. Had a plug in undercariage took it of after first flight trying to go higher.

I love the little one! I've been thinking about doing a Plantraco-based Twirl for some time but never did anything about it. Yours is most impressive! I'm looking forward to it's reaching its full performance potential, and to a video if you can post one.

Well done!

Ari.

Urs,

Your mini-minitwirl looks great - as iter says, it would be great to see a video of it in flight if you can.

Mostly 5mm with some 4mm (Dollar Tree foam with the paper stripped). Then the blades are 3mm with bamboo skewers on the leading edge. I'm scared to weigh it, but the E-Flite 180 will almost hover it out of my hand ( @ full throttle).
