Fms t28 cg

Has anybody else had a problem getting the CG on the 1400 mm T28? I finally realized, the correct CG, is 60-65cm from the leading edge of the wing, approx.3" from fuse. So far it's been balanced perfectly with a 3600 Pro Lipo.

G'day Stevieraye,
Mate I have two FMS T-28's and they both balance at the nominated 80 - 85 mm.
One is a V2 and one is a V3 and they both fly nicely at that.
60 - 65 seems to be a long way out to me. I did cut the foam battery bay at the from to get the CG right by just moving the battery.
Others might disagree with me but I think your CG is too far forward.
Regards and respect
Daryl

he mentioned 60-65 cm, as opposed to the 80-85 mm you mentioned. This could be why the difference.

Hi Wrongroad,I have the v3, did you measure your 80-85 mark from where the wing first leaves the Fuselage or from the tapered section in the book it looks like the tapered section.hope you understand what I mean

G'day Carl,
Mate I measure from the wing joining point to the fuselage.
You can almost do the CG mark with the wing off the model to be honest.
I use a builders set square and that is the easiest way.
I you have any drama with what I am getting at let me know and I will take a photo of how I do it.
I use some small stick on dots to mark the CG spot and if you use the right colours they can look like part of the colour scheme.
Most people do not pick up on the dots.
Regards and respect
Daryl
