Does anybody flies FrSky system on a F5B/D plane?

I'm leaving DSM-2 system after a lockout between my JR9503 DSM2 Transmitter and a AR7010 DMS-X receiver....
now I'm searching for the most secure and reliable system at the market, would be Futaba FASST? FrSky? FHSS?

Tell me what you guys are running and also your experience with that...

Thanks,
Amdré

I went from Spectrum to Futaba Fasst and never looked back. I have 3 Frsky TFR6 fasst compatible receivers in use and they work fine also.

Ok... I understand all success Futaba has today, they deserve it, they did their homework,
solid system, lots of happy users around the world...
Spektrum and JR I won't talk about.. just search on the web and you will find duzen of reasons why.

Now about the good news, FrSky is been tested for long time and millions of people in any conditions you can imagine... and still solid, good reputaion, very happy users...
there is also guys who used to fly Futaba, Spektrum, JR,... changing to FrSky...
I have a JR9503 and I like it(the transmitter), after a DSM-2 lockout I decide to move away...
Since (apparently) nobody is flying F5B/D... I think I'll be the first...
their reboot time is fantastic, less than 1 second, and their signal range also impressive!!!

if anybody is interested on this system check this review
FrSky 2.4GHz spread spectrum RC review (6 min 55 sec)

BTW - you can buy 3 full range 8 chan receiver at same price for a single R617

If it helps i was using frsky in a full carbon s400 pylon for a bit.

But I've swapped to hitec now, mainly due to the A9 being an awesome TX, but also due to the inbuilt voltage Tele back to the TX.

I use FrSky in a Futaba 9CAP and I find the combination awesome. Cheap RX's, zero issues so far. From foamies to 200mph including carbon fuses. Thumbs up from me

decones , FrSKy is VERY good system, but thay have a few problems,,, Futaba is almost problem free.... All systems have their bugs..

I would say after Futaba, yes, FrSky no problem, I would easy fly FrSky ina fast expensive plane, just make sure the antennas are in place

any specific problem on FrSky?

the antennas will be ok,
I ordered long 45 and 60 cm antennas extensions for good diversity and out of carbon parts

Switched to Hitec A9 and have been using it extensively without any problems for two years now. Their telemetry is first class if you need it but useless in F5B in my opinion.

I used to have Spektrum and JR before.

Have been using the Frsky system for over a year now with no problems.
Bought the TX module and RX for my Futaba ZAP. Fast boot up time and no stupid binding plugs to have to carry around with you.
Seems really good and so cheap compared with other brands,.
