DJI 2.4ghz V1.1.1 to 5.8 ghz FC40 problem-

In February, I bought a DJI FC40 quadcopter. In May, it flew AWAY~

Ok. I think the battery connector failed. I soldered it my self, and at about 400 feet on a windy night, the lights failed. It is on someone's roof in my neighborhood.

I don't get mad, I get even. I bought a HOMING BEACON called a "Marco Polo", which is made for dogs. And instead of making the Chinese wealthier, I bought TWO DJI Phantoms off of eBay. One was missing the transmitter, one was missing the charger. I wound up with both-

I want to put another 5.8 ghz Phantom into the sky. One of the two that I bought off of eBay didn't have a transmitter, I figured I could link them. Surprise! It was a 2.4 ghz unit, my transmitter is a PVT 581, which is straight from the FC40.

Ok, so I have a 2.4 quadcopter and a 5.8 transmitter. After about an hour of trying to get then to "link", I figured out why this wouldn't happen. So I contacted Atlanta Hobbies and bought an FC40 5.8 ghz receiver from a quadcopter that they they had disassembled. I installed the 5.8 receiver in the SAME plugs on the NAZA that the 2.4 was installed in, X2 and X3.

My old FC40 transmitter immediately "linked" to my new receiver, but it is NOT TALKING to the V 2.0 [orange] NAZA that is in my converted second quadcopter!

--HOW--

Do I get this to work? I have updated the quadcopter in question with the newest update.

Thanx!

Solved this problem today.

I had installed the connectors from the new 5.8 receiver to the exact same ports on the NAZA-M as the original 2.4 receiver. Actually, all I had to do was to install one of the connectors to the X2 port, I had it in the X3. Thus, the V.1.1.1 quadcopter has been converted to 5.8 ghz.

Now to figure out which one to sell; This converted 5.8 or the other one, a standard V.1.1.1 at 2.4 ghz.
