Went out early and floated around in dead air. Got some trimming done. Caught three or four good thermals. Sat down for a while, went back out and discovered I had stripped the gears on the right aileron.

I flew with some of my beloved Colorado DLG buddies at our home field (site of the 2012 Team Select Contest).

Then I went home to The DLG Ranch and flew some more, using Adrian's Cool "F3K Master" DLG Contest Timer App on my Droid.

And I flew with a rudder.

I sanded some more on a fuse plug for a good while today. I really like the shape its coming to, a shape I've been visualizing for a while now. I also flew for a bit yesterday and this morning and decided its the last I will do before the contest this coming up weekend. I was starting to get frustrated with myself, making very novice and dumb mistakes. So for today I decided 10 throws and that was it, love it or not, 10 throws and pack it up. I broke it up 5 as a 5x2, 3 as AULD, and the last two were intentional low throws to work on low level saves. I still wasnt too happy with my performance by the end, but I was out of throws, so I put them back up. Time for them to get some rest before some fun in the NC sun.

Well after finally getting around to doing my delam repair (above), I just got done inspecting my work, and I'll be if I didn't overlook a few spots. At least the worst of it is done. I just hope it doesn't take me another month or two to finish it up

5 minutes!!!
It was a weak thermal, lots of weird winds, but I managed to keep the topsky 5 min. in a perpetuum mobile mode ... gaining speed downwind and turning into the weak thermal, gaining altitude, coming back downwind ....
I could managed to stay a lot longer if t was not for the sun positioning right in front of me, my eyes could not handle it more and had to turn the other way, do some lazy turns and finally land ...

I finally replaced one of the aileron servos in my TS2 that I stripped a few weeks ago, and installed a RAM3. I managed to get about 45 minutes worth of uninterrupted time to play. When I get really bored, I'll repair the stripped servo. It started out too windy, but by the end it had calmed somewhat and I got a few 3:30 flights. I also had the lowest climb-out that I've had to date. I came in over the grass where I launch at about 15 feet, hit a good bump, and managed to circle back into it several times before I lost it at about 100 feet. Kinda cool. I haven't had a chance to offload the flight data from the RAM3 yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing how much lower my throws are than I think.

Forgot to mention that I've added the lipo Tx pack to my DX8. Wow, what a huge difference. I don't think the power has dropped at all!

was flying my new jjedge but one launch it dived right after launch, I think I must have got the elevator stick caught on my shirt or something.... should be fixable with some tender loving care.
