Yeah, I am! The second time around came fast and was so different.

Summer here, so far, has been windy and unusually rainy for Yukon. Newest plane in box that I have is the super scale beaver from Hobbyking.

Yet another idiot!

I really hate to say it but the quads seem to have the "collateral damage" of making it too easy for the idiots to get into the air. This story was carried on the local CBC this morning. It shows once again beyond any doubt that YOU CAN'T FIX STUPID!

Unbelievable! I would really like to see some strict Canadian laws regarding drones. I fear that it won't happen until something really bad happens.

Be careful what you ask for, HC. You may just get it. Think about what would be required for the Canadian government to come up with strict laws regarding this. First there would have to be a bureaucracy staffed with people who actually knew something about R/C aircraft. Then there would have to be some form of enforcement and detection. Of course there would have to be annual license fees applied to all pilots. There would have to a system of testing centres to grant licenses. There would then have to be government certified training centres. There would probably be an extra tax applied to r/c aircraft and parts to pay for all of this.

Then there would be the costs of the first Supreme Court challenge. Have I mentioned all of this would have to be bilingual? It goes on and on. Even then, there would still be "stupid". Impaired driving and distracted driving laws haven't eliminated "stupid" in those categories.

John, I do indeed wish for it. I'm game for it because no matter how crazy the rules and process may get, I believe we're one step away from one psycho who decides that he's going to attempt to take down an airliner.
