I will wait until I have the model before making motor mount selection. I have two types of mounts with the two most common offsets that I can use.

My work with MotoCalc indicates that a 1600 mAh battery will give around 6 minutes at WOT and around 20 minute flights at reduced throttle. The final decider in my case will be," Can the correct CG be achieved with the lighter battery".

Photo No 8 in the Hobby King add shows that two spinners are supplied with the kit.

Looks to me like the Guan'Li kit comes all set up right for doing the 4-blade prop mod, that I mentioned above! You get the 2 extra props, and the extra
notches are easy to add to the spinners. Bravo, Guan'Li! (Mine was finally shipped, yesterday).

Going out today, to get the tools. I will post a "How to", here. Standby.

Correction; I couldn't find an aircraft counterbore, locally, so I ordered one online. May take a few days to get. Cost about $20, plus S&H, so maybe I will make 4-blade, counter-rotating propellers for modellers. We'll see.

Receive mine today. Very light and thin EPS,like old's GWS, probably easyly breakable.

can someone confirm that the length of the hobby king cl 215 is only 750mm? Is that a typo? It doesn't look that misproportioned to me, given that the span is 1390mm. Should the length be 950mm not 750mm?

I measured up on my one of my 3 view drawing of the Cl-415 and found that if the model is to scale then the length should be 973 mm.

Looks pretty good, but it is backordered. KV is a might low.

JCE1, thanks for the info. So that is a typo on Hobby King's site. Good to know. I thought it looked pretty well proportioned, so was wondering why it was so short. The answer is, it's not short, it seems to be perfectly proportioned.
