Easy Power Distribution with BEC and filter.
I was upset with myself for not ordering a mini PDB for my mini rebuild, so I took out all the stuff I had laying around and did some brainstorming.
Ended up with
a $4 Distribution board from Hobbyking
Fatshark power filter from the Predator V2 set
a $5 BEC I had lying around
I ended up bending the pins of the Fatshark filter and soldering direcly to the board rather than use the wires for the sake of neatness.
Size is 50mmx50mmx10mm
It has both filtered and non filered power pins. Plus the 5v power from the BEC.
I think it ended up quite neat even with my terrible soldering and hotgluing skills.
Someone with better soldering skills than me could easily get the profile down to 8mm. A real bonus since in my case I only have 10mm of space. So by the time I insulate it from the frame I will need washers on my spacers to fit it.
There are better and more cost effective ways to do this but since its stuff I already had, Im real happy with the result.
